Electronic Arts (EA)

Senior Engineer / Cybersecurity Architecture Consultant

Sept 2017 – Apr 2018

Summary

Electronic Arts required improved capabilities in threat detection, source-code protection and forensic automation. I was engaged to design and build modern security automation platforms.

The Problem

EA’s global security teams needed automation for malware detection, code integrity and incident response. Manual workflows slowed analysis and created scalability issues.

My Role

I architected and delivered cybersecurity automation systems used globally for malware triage, IP protection and forensic analysis.

Approach

  • Designed automated threat-detection pipelines.
  • Integrated GitHub/Bitbucket with IP‑protection scanning.
  • Architected behavioural software-blocking platforms.
  • Built cloud-aligned microservices for security automation.
  • Delivered forensic tooling for investigators.

Architecture Highlights

  • Distributed microservices for scanning
  • Event-driven threat detection
  • Source-code integrity services
  • Security tooling integration
  • Automation-first architecture

Outcomes

  • Faster malware triage and response
  • Improved source-code security
  • Automated workflows replacing manual processes
  • Greater coverage and reliability in security operations
